The Epson L805 Adjustment Program (Resetter) is a dedicated service utility designed specifically for the Epson L805 Photo Printer. This software is the standard tool used by technicians to perform deep-level maintenance that cannot be accessed through the regular printer driver settings.

Primary Function: Waste Ink Pad Reset

The most common reason for using this program is to fix the “Service Required” error. This occurs when the printer’s internal “Waste Ink Pad Counter” reaches its maximum limit.

• Symptoms: The printer stops printing, and the red lights (Ink and Paper) flash alternately.

• The Fix: This program allows you to “Initialize” the counter back to 0%, instantly unlocking the printer for further use.

• Operating System: Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, or 11.

• Connectivity: A High-Speed USB 2.0 cable is required. The software cannot communicate with the printer via Wi-Fi for these service adjustments.

• Driver Status: The official Epson L805 printer driver must be installed on the PC for the program to recognize the port.

⚠️ Critical Maintenance Note

While the software resets the digital counter, it does not clean the physical sponges inside the printer.

[!WARNING] Since the L805 is a photo printer that uses a significant amount of ink for head cleanings, the waste pads can saturate quickly. After 2–3 software resets, it is highly recommended to manually replace the waste ink pads or install an external waste ink tank to prevent ink from leaking into the printer’s internal circuitry.

Step-by-Step Reset Process

1. Connect the printer via USB and turn it on.

2. Open AdjProg.exe.

3. Click Select -> Choose L805 under Model Name -> Click OK.

4. Select Particular Adjustment Mode.

5. Scroll down to Waste ink pad counter and click OK.

6. Click the Check button to see your current percentage.

7. Check the box for Main pad counter and click Initialize.

8. Turn off the printer when prompted, then turn it back on.
